- Accomodation:
There are rooms pre-reserved for the nights from May-18 to May-24

(30-40 min to the AIP by public transport).

- How to reach AIP
From airport Berlin/Tegel it migth be wiser to take bus
109 and change to the metro line
S7 at "Charlottenburg" (direction Potsdam, Hauptbahnhof) because of some
reconstruction on the way of bus
X9. Please, leave the metro at station "Babelsberg", if you want to
reach AIP or the hotels nearby.
- How to reach the hotel
Pension Unicat or Apart Hotel Vivaldi: follow the instructions on How to reach AIP but leave
either the S-Bahn at "Babelsberg" or the bus 694
at staion "Rathaus Babelsberg". Walk northbound along
"Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse". After 200 meters you will reach first "Apart
Hotel Vivaldi" (Southern end of green line in our map)
and immediately after "Pension Unicat" (both on the right).
You may either walk every day up- and downhill (10-15 min) to AIP or use
the bus 694 (3 stops) to go there.
Hotel Mercure: follow the instructions on How to reach AIP until
"Potsdam Hauptbahnhof". From there you can either walk along "Lange
Brücke"
(10 min) or take one of the trams 91
(direction "Bhf Pirschheide", 2 stops), 92
(direction "Kirschallee", 2 stops), 93
(direction "Glienicker Brücke", 2 stops).
Hotel Mercure is number 13 in our map.
To get to AIP on Monday go back to "Potsdam Hauptbahnhof" and take bus 694
(direction "Stern Center"), get off at "Sternwarte" (blue cross East to
"Park Babelsberg" on our map).
Hotel Am Luisenplatz: follow the instructions on How to reach AIP until
Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. Take tram 91
(direction "Bhf Pirschheide") get off at "Luisenplatz".
The hotel is number 11 in our map.
To get to AIP on Monday take the tram 94
(direction "Babelsberg"), get off at "Rathaus Babelsberg" and change to the
bus 694.

Tickets
To get from Berlin to Potsdam you need a three-zone-ticket (ABC) valid for
Berlin/Brandenburg. The recent price is 2.80 EUR, valid for 2 hours, and
you can buy it in the bus.
If you took accomodation in Berlin you should buy a weekly ticket for
32.30 Euro instead, immediately after arrival at the airport.
With this ticket you
can go everywhere inside Berlin/Potsdam.
For accomodation in the center of Potsdam (Hotel Mercure, Hotel am
Luisenplatz), you should buy a weekly ticket for Potsdam (zone AB)
for 11.60 EUR immediately after arrival at the mainstation Potsdam
Hauptbahnhof. With this ticket you can go everywhere inside Potsdam
including the way to AIP and backwards.
Even for participants living in Babelsberg (Pension Unicat, Hotel Vivaldi)
who prefer to take the bus to the institute every day, a weekly ticket is
recommended. You can buy it in front of the Babelsberg metro station.
Please, take into account that a usual single ticket inside Potsdam
is 1.70 EUR (or 1.20 Euro if you go not more than 3 stops).
- Conference office
The conference office (located in the Schwarzschildhaus,
